  • Adored by the Network: Although Nickelodeon hasn't acknowledged the series in many years, the series became a favorite of NickRewind in 2021; the block aired a two-hour marathon on March 1st and April 17th, an all night marathon on June 26th, and aired the series for an entire weekend from July 23rd-25th. It got another weekend marathon from October 1st-3rd; this time including the Halloween Episode "Catatonic" which hadn't been reran in a decade. It got yet another weekend marathon from December 10-12th.

  • Celebrity Voice Actor: Beyond Amy Poehler as Bessie there’s Andy Richter as Ben and Nickelodeon Alumni Kenan Thompson as Rocky. Amy Poehler’s then husband Will Arnett voices Alcatraz guard Captain Stonewall in the episode "Tour D'Alactraz".
  • Channel Hop: The last episodes of the series aired on Nicktoons instead of Nickelodeon.
  • The Danza: Hal the ice cream man in "Ben Screams for Ice Cream" is voiced by Hal Rudnick. His boss Artie is voiced by Artie Lange.
  • Descended Creator: Series co-creator Amy Poehler voices Bessie Higgenbottom.
  • Invisible Advertising: The last several episodes were barely advertised.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The original Pitch Pilot, Super Scout has not been seen since it originally aired as apart of the Nicktoons Film Festival in 2006. In addition, for the longest time, the only place you could find the full series was on iTunes until December 2020 when the entire series was added to Paramount+.

  • Production Posse: The show is created by Amy Poehler, Cynthia True, and Erik Weise. Amy brought over many people from Saturday Night Live. Cynthia brought over many people from The Fairly OddParents . Erik brought over many people from SpongeBob SquarePants and The Ren & Stimpy Show.
  • Recycled Script: "Dogcatcher in the Rye" is similar to the Rocko's Modern Life episode "Ed Good, Rocko Bad".
  • Screwed by the Network: Nick shunted the show around their schedule shortly after it premiered in 2008 and eventually kicked it across to their sister channel Nicktoons in 2010. The remainder of the final season was burned off there a year later.
  • Talking to Himself:
    • Both Hippie and Anton St. Germain are voiced by Matt Besser and share some scenes in "Macro-Mayhem".
    • Sissy Sullivan from "Boston Beean" is voiced by Amy Poehler like Bessie, and they share a lot of dialogue.
  • Advertisement:
  • Technology Marches On: "Awwwww-some" shows some construction workers watching Puppy Net on a flip phone. The episode came out on January 2, 2010; around the time smart phones began to surface.
  • Word of Gay: Hillary's voice actress Megan Cavanagh views Hillary as a Butch Lesbian, though she doesn't think Nickelodeon would agree.
