Trivia / The Lingo Show

Go To

  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Wei is being voiced by an actress named Lin Lin. And it's VERY noticeable - he sounds like a woman in her mid-20s or 30s despite being a young boy.
  • Fake Nationality: Jaadoo, a Pakistani Tick is voiced by Bhasker Patel, a British-Ugandan actor.
  • The Other Darrin: Lingo is voiced by Marc Silk in the show, and has a higher and goofier sounding voice than how he had in the CBeebies minisite, where his voice was more lower pitched.
  • No Dub for You: The series never got dubbed in other languages because many people thought if the series were to be dubbed, the languages for one of the bugs would be changed (for example, Lieb's language would become English if the German dub of The Lingo Show existed in the first place).
  • Screwed by the Network: It premiered in March 2012, and 15 episodes were aired in that month. No new episodes came about until May 2013, when another 15 aired. CBeebies aired those 30 in reruns until 2017, then briefly got revived in 2020, and 2022 as episodes on the CBeebies Radio.
  • Series Hiatus: It premiered in March 2012, and 15 episodes were aired in that month. No new episodes came about until May 2013, when another 15 aired. The show is currently experiencing a hiatus.
