  • Actor Allusion: In an episode, Mr. Sheppard sings the "Two Little Monkeys" song to DJ. The song was created for Radio Free Roscoe, where Genelle Williams played a recurring character.
  • Making Use of the Twin: Munro Chambers's twin brother, Thomas Chambers, appeared twice in the series. He first appeared as a clone of Wilder and then as a prince that Amanda went out with named Chase, who looks exactly like Wilder.
  • Missing Episode: The original pilot, which had older characters (including a whopping three cast members from Naturally, Sadie), a slightly darker, more dramatic tone, and no Wilder. See part 1 and part 2. Worth noting: If this had gone through, Shenae Grimes would not have gone on to Degrassi: The Next Generation and then 90210.
  • Only So Many Canadian Actors: It is a Family Original Series, so it's bound to have Canadian teen actors moving on to less-than-family friendly shows. Munro Chambers, Demetrius Joyette and Justin Kelly are now regulars on Degrassi, starring in more Darker and Edgier roles than their previous ones.
  • What Could Have Been: There was originally supposed to be a Spin-Off series called Meet The Wilders starring Munro Chambers. The show would follow Wilder and his family. If the show would've gotten picked up, Munro Chambers wouldn't gone off to do Degrassi. The unaired pilot can be seen on YouTube.
  • Word of God: The creator of the show, Brent Piaskoski, and his wife (a writer and story editor on the show), Barb Haynes, each have twitter accounts and each are hilarious. They are also not afraid to answer questions about the characters.
    • Brent Piaskoski, the creator, has stated how they used to get dirty in the writers room with the the relationship between Amanda and Wilder.
    • Barb Haynes said in a tweet that all the right people ended up together: Noah & Rebecca, Wilder & Amanda, DJ & Mr. Shepherd and Michael & Hollywood!
