  • Follow the Leader: Numerous fanmade quiz games in the style of The Impossible Quiz exist in the net, with many of them taking questions and gimmicks directly from the series. Examples include Revenge Against the Impossible Quiz and the Indonesian-made Quiz Parampaa. Splapp has stated that anyone is free to make their own quiz.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Due to the shutdown of the E4 Games website, the full version of The Impossible Quiz Book with all the chapters at once has been deleted forever. However, the 3 chapters themselves as separate games can still be found on different websites.
  • Milestone Celebration: In addition to being a Christmas Episode, The Impossible Quizmas doubles as a 10th Anniversary celebration for the release of the original Impossible Quiz in 2007.
  • Orphaned Reference: The Impossible Quiz Book was set to have an achievement system, referred to as "Catastrophes" ("Cat-ass-trophies"). Despite being scrapped due to time constraints, two references to them still remain.
    • In question 28, clicking Frank's colon will cause him to poo. This doesn't do anything in the game outside of being an amusing gag, but it was originally meant to unlock one of these catastrophes.
    • After completing the third chapter, a text box reading "Catastrophe unlocked! Destroyed the Impossible Quiz" will appear on the corner for a few seconds. Since the system was disabled, however, it doesn't do anything.
  • Real Song Theme Tune:
    • The original game loops "Gonna Fly Now" (aka the Rocky theme) and a lyric-less version of "The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song" by the Flaming Lips. One of the questions also plays a clip from another Flaming Lips song, namely "What Is The Light?"
    • The second quiz features songs from The Go! Team's Thunder, Lightning, Strike album: "Ladyflash", "Get it Together", and "Panther Dash".
  • Schedule Slip: In the worst way, but it depends. The Impossible Quiz Book Chapter Two was released a year after Splapp's intended release date.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: The original game uses copyrighted music tracks, which resulted in it being removed from DeviantArt shortly after being first published there. Splapp had to publish a "Lite"/"Quiet" version of the game (with all the music removed) to avoid getting into trouble.
  • What Could Have Been: Around 2014, after The Impossible Quiz Book closed off the series, a Spiritual Successor to The Impossible Quiz was planned by Splapp. Titled The Impossible Dream, it breaks away from the quiz format and instead introduces a WarioWare-esque gameplay in which multiple different challenges, all set as either dreams or nightmares, have to be completed within a time limit. Unfortunately, Splapp has stated that this project has been cancelled as of 2018.
  • Word of God:
    • According to Splapp, Chris the cat was based on his neighbor's cat, named Socks.
    • Also, he also told that the dark brown cat from question 95 of the original quiz and Chris are not same character.
  • Write What You Know: A number of questions in this game (and in the succeeding installments) are based on Splapp's life.
