• The alternate title was The Good Guy From Harlem, and is the title used on the DVD release.
• One-Book Author: Loye Hawkins had no other film roles, aside from being an extra in a TV movie three years later. Hawkins in the late 2000's was the lead vocalist of the Loye Hawkins Band, an eclectic quartet who perform jazz, blues, R&B, Latin and Caribbean music.
