• What Could Have Been: John R. Dilworth originally intended to submit this short as his entry for Cartoon Network's What A Cartoon! Show, but Cartoon Network turned the short down because they deemed it inappropriate for broadcast. Dilworth responded by submitting The Chicken from Outer Space as a pilot, and the rest was history.
  • In the 2010s, John Dilworth wanted to do a sequel, but it only exists in storyboard format.
