• Bonus Episode: Twi-Yaba, which was released before the premiere of the anime's second season. It features some of the extra chapters from Norio-sensei's Twitter posts.
• Bonus Material: Norio-sensei posts numerous extra chapters and artwork on her Twitter, which are later added to volumes in between the main chapters.
• Channel Hop: The series started in Weekly Shonen Champion before moving to Champion Cross a month into publication. Then it moved back into Manga Cross after the website merged with Champion.
• Defictionalization: In January of 2021 a collection of stickers based on the manga were released for the messaging app LINE, the same one Yamada and Ichikawa are often seen using in the series. Included among these were real versions of Yamada's beloved "Cat Mantis" stickers.
• Inspiration for the Work: Norio-sensei is a big fan of idols, and developed the idea for the series based on what it would be like to attend school with one.
• Portmanteau Series Nickname: “BokuYaba”
• Release Date Change: It was announced that the Twi-Yaba OVA was to be released on December 10th 2023, 10pm for Japanese audiences, but was delayed by a couple of hours due to distribution problems.
• Word of God:
  • Norio-Sensei revealed that Yamada was telling Ichikawa to "not tell anyone" in when he first caught her eating in the library.
  • She later revealed in a Tweet that Yamada actually had menstrual cramps in Karte 12/Episode 3.
