• Acting for Two: Both the Chairman and Donald (in seasons 1 and 2) are played by Robert Górski.
• Actor Allusion:
  • After playing him for a few dozens of sketches in the early 2010s, it's fitting that Górski reprises his role as Donald [Tusk].
  • The actress playing the German chancellor is a German parodist known for parodying the then-chancellor Angela Merkel.
• Creator-Driven Successor: The series can be seen as an informal sequel to a series of cabaret skits which satirized then-incumbent Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his cabinet; Robert Górski co-created the skits and played the role of Tusk himself. He eventually reprised the role in The Chairman's Ear.
• Follow the Leader: The show ended up spawning a knock-off made by media connected to the then-government party, dedicated to bash the then-opposition the same way this show bashed the then-government party. It was poorly made, didn't move past the pilot, and was almost immediately forgotten in comparison.
• The Other Darrin: Donald (the Chairman's rival and the Polish politician in the EU) was played by Robert Górski in seasons 1-2 and by Cezary Pazura in season 3.
• Sleeper Hit: To everyone's surprise, the show turned out to be incredibly popular by Polish standards.
