- Casting Gag:
- In the English dub, Chloé and Jean-Jacques are voiced by Brina Palencia and J. Michael Tatum which is a nod to their roles in Black Butler which the former plays the master and the latter plays the servant in a 19th century setting.
- On the other hand this isn't also the first time they voiced a duo where one of them turns into a wolf-like creature.
- Creator's Oddball: ADR director David Wald is much more known for directing anime dubs with a Cast Full of Gay. While there are Ho Yay moments, the show is a dark fantasy steampunk.
- Cross-Dressing Voice: Louis is voiced by Miyuri Shimabukuro.
- Playing Against Type
- Both Natsuki Hanae and Kaito Ishikawa ending up voicing characters that usually had an archetype voiced by the other instead. With Kaito as Noé who is an Adorkable Nice Guy, while Hanae voice Vanitas who is a Jerk with a Heart of Gold.
- In the dub, Dr. Moreau is voiced by Scott Gibbs, who typically plays characters who are easy-going (such as Tetsuro Ishigaki and Satoshi Isshiki) or jerks that can be kind underneath it all (such as Tobio Kageyama). Moreau is not either, being a Mad Scientist who doesn’t give a damn about anyone.
