- Promoted Fanboy: Walker Scobell, who plays 12-year-old Adam, is a child actor but he's also a massive Deadpool fan, who can recite entire monologues from the film (and has recited the opening monologue to Deadpool 2 in multiple promotional appearances, leading to a Cluster F-Bombnote .) This was actually in his favor, because the filmmakers realized that it was easy for him to play Ryan Reynolds' younger self.
- Saved from Development Hell: The film's spec script was written in October 2012, but was cancelled before being revived in July 2020. Filming began in November 2020 and was released in March 2022.
- What Could Have Been: When the film was initially written, it was called Our Name Is Adam and it was going to star Tom Cruise. Paramount expressed interest in producing.
