• Creative Differences: Dragon Gate going Lighter and Softer after breaking away from Toryumon might have had something to do with TARU's departure. While he was not as openly caustic about it as SUWA was, his next projects in AJPW were so different in tone from what DG was doing that one cannot help but think TARU would have had serious differences with DG's management.
• Promoted Fanboy: Was a fan of Hiroyoshi Tenzan, and his visual style sometimes reflects it. He got to team up with him in a Ring Soul event.
• Role-Ending Misdemeanor: Was fired from AJPW after he confessed having fought Super Hate backstage just before Hate fainted during a bout and was diagnosed a subdural hematoma. Apparently, TARU was berating Hate for slacking off, drinking too much and setting a bad example for the promotion's younger wrestlers (which was not a lie, as Hate had supposedly wrestled a previous match while dangerously drunk), and this turned into a fight, with TARU giving Hate a beadown until referee Kyohei Wada broke it. TARU actually made amends with Hate after the latter woke up from his coma, but he still needed two years to return to professional wrestling and is still blacklisted from AJPW today (only being allowed in once for Giant Baba's anniversary).
