• What Could Have Been:
  • According to PrincessAmerica, the events of Chapter 8 of Teh Ultamint War Agenst Librul Evul was originally going to be in The REEL Sekwel, considering that The Colbert Report was in its final months at the time it was written, but she never found a place to put it in.
  • "Mishonh From Trump" wasn't originally going to be a reboot; however, a few plot points from when it was originally a sequel (Ridley being The Mole to explain why he was guarding a Taylor Swift concert and Dark Samus showing up to Hand Wave a sudden Heel–Face Turn for Samus) have made it in.
  • When figuring out how to introduce Joker to the story, the author at one point considered having him go in to steal Sara's heart, with the Smash Mansion being her Palace. She eventually decided against it.
  • Becky's boyfriend in the reboot, Kyle, was planned as far back as The REEL Sekwel as a real-life equivalent to Sara's many boyfriends, who would eventually dump her and start dating Becky.
  • After the YouTuber H.Bomberguy started a Donkey Kong 64 charity stream for Mermaids (a charity that supports transgender children), the author had the idea of Graham Linehan (a man who attempted to defund said charity, which lead to H.Bomberguy doing said charity stream in the first place) appearing at the Smash Mansion and harassing Simon for being transgender, which would have lead to Linehan getting beaten up by Donkey Kong. However, by the time this happened, the story was already in the final battle, so there was nowhere to fit such a scene in.
• Write Who You Know: The story also includes people that Sara knows in real life, including Lauren, Mr. Johnson, Becky, Josh and Tiffany. Subverted, since this is a Troll Fic and none of these people, including Sara, actually exist.
