Miscellaneous Trivia
- The WonderSwan trilogy features the one and only use of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam's first opening "Zeta - Toki wo Koete" in Super Robot Wars, coming not long before the ambiguous legal issues that make the song extremely rare to find in 21st century Gundam games.
- On another musical note, this is the first Super Robot Wars to feature Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket's opening song; in prior games and Super Robot Wars Alpha, the series uses music from the original Mobile Suit Gundam instead of its own.
Tropes
- Dummied Out:
- The WonderSwan games have unused data for the Hi-Nu Gundam and Nightingale in what would have been their debuts in the series. They can be seen here.
- Earth Crisis retained the first Compact's rendition of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ's "Silent Voice" as the series Leitmotif, but it's never heard in-game as there are no Gundam ZZ characters playable in Earth Crisis. Cosmoquake would opt to replace it with a rendition of "Anime Ja Nai", which carries over into Galaxy Showdown.
- The Other Darrin: After being voiced by Kenyuu Horiuchi in Complete Box, Kōichi Yamadera would become the de-facto voice for Duke Fleed starting with Impact.
- What Could Have Been: Allegedly, some of the unused unit data in the Wonderswan games include the Cybuster, Huckebein, Grungust, and R-1, suggesting that the project was going to have multiple original "series" like Super Robot Wars Alpha or possibly even be a fully-Original Generation-centric game.
