- Channel Hop: Began on CBS radio and moved to NBC in 1950 where it remained until 1957. Curiously, CBS picked it up for daytime television in 1951 with a primetime version starting later that year. The primetime run was cancelled in 1955 and the daytime version ended a week after the NBC radio version went off the air.
- Follow the Leader:
- Of Queen for a Day fame, although Strike it Rich aired on television five years before Queen did.
- Strike it Rich itself spawned a short-lived imitator Have a Heart which was the last new Game Show to air on DuMont.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Episodes were destroyed per network practices of the era, although it may have been for the best due to its controversial nature. A handful of episodes can be found at the UCLA Film and Television Archive and the Paley Center for Media, and the Library of Congress has one episode on kinescope.
- Long Runner: Lasted 10½ years on radio and television.
- The Pete Best: Todd Russell was replaced one year into the run by Warren Hull.
- Similarly Named Works: Kline & Friends produced a game show also called Strike it Rich. It found greater success across the pond as Strike It Lucky.
