- Aborted Arc: In a livestream well after the game's release, the developers talked about how Ray Santos was initially going to be revealed as a villain at the end of his quest line. However due to time constraints, they were unable to sufficiently expand upon the idea.
- Banned in China: Initially for Australia when the Australian Classification Board issued a press statement that the game won't get one due to the use of "self-administered drugs" to improve a player's health/stamina. Following changes, the ACB agreed to classify the game as R18+ and got an official release.
- Descended Creator: Alan Gunderson, and all the other survivors who share his voice set, was voiced by Brant Fitzgerald, a member of the Undead Labs development team.
- Working Title: Class 3. The first video showed off the lighting engine and day-night cycle.
