Trivia / Star Trek Voyager S 2 E 18 "Death Wish"

• Acting for Two: John de Lancie plays two on-screen versions of Q as one interrogates the other.
• The Danza: Maury Ginsberg as played by...Maury Ginsberg. Apparently the producers felt the actor's name matched his character so they just went with it.
• Deleted Scenes: Harry practices clarinet in his quarters but he bemoans to Tom the area's lack of soundproofing. The scene was to begin the episode and was filmed on the first day of the episode's production, before being cut. It was later incorporated into "The Thaw".
• What Could Have Been: An early draft had Q summoning Geordi La Forge, which would've been a Development Gag about how Tim Russ also auditioned to be Geordi on Star Trek: The Next Generation. But in the episode, he calls William Riker. According to Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton had just shaved his head, so he didn't look much like how audiences were used to seeing La Forge look. Burton would appear as Geordi in season 5's "Timeless", which he directed.
