• Throw It In!: In the script, Kira was perfectly fine about giving Kirayoshi up to his parents. Nana Visitor had very recently given birth herself and felt that Kira would have gotten at least somewhat emotionally attached to the baby she carried to term and gave birth to, so Ira Steven Behr changed the ending of the episode to make her more sorrowful and wistfully longing to keep Kirayoshi for herself, even if she only confesses it to Odo.
