Go To

  • California Doubling: The first two movies are set in California, Patient's Revenge has California doubling for Arizona (the musical sequence was shot at Griffith Park in Los Angeles), but the fourth and fifth movies are set in their shooting locations (New Mexico for A Sleepwalker's Nightmare, Georgia for Just What the Doctor Ordered).
  • Cast the Expert: Anna Marie Dobbins (Melissa in Patient's Revenge) is the daughter of a dance studio owner and does some choreography and dance instruction alongside her acting, making her a good choice for the Big-Lipped Alligator Moment musical scene.
  • Dawson Casting: All of Dr. Beck's teenage crushes are played by actresses in their 20s.
  • Fake American: Australian actress Carrie Schroeder plays Maggie in Just What the Doctor Ordered, but her American accent is flawless.
  • Follow the Leader: The franchise has been given Mockbuster treatment by The Asylum, no less, in the made-for-Lifetime 2019 movie The Doctor Will Kill You Now, which is basically the "doctor saves a patient then becomes obsessed with her" formula Played for Drama.
  • Playing Against Type: Crystal Allen, who's played several villains in Lifetime movies, appears in the first film as Barbara, Dr. Beck's dinner date who gets lashed out at by him after politely suggesting he should get help (and is the target of the "I'm unfriending you!" threat).
  • Real-Life Relative: Eliza Roberts, the wife of Eric Roberts, plays ill-fated Nurse Chris McCoy in Just What the Doctor Ordered.
  • Those Two Actors: Lifetime's The Wrong... movies have staged some reunion pairings with Eric Roberts and the actresses who played his victims.
    • Roberts and Brianna Joy Chomer (Sophie in the original and Patient's Revenge) both appear in The Wrong Roommate, though they only appear together in the final scene (Chomer as the niece of the movie's heroine, Roberts as the heroine's mentor).
    • Roberts and Anna Marie Dobbins (Melissa in Patient's Revenge) teamed up in The Wrong Mr. Right, where he plays a Private Detective enlisted by Dobbins' character to dig into the Mysterious Past of her mother's new boyfriend.
