- Banned in China: Not surprisingly, the Chinese government took offense to an American show criticizing their government, especially in the midst of Trump's trade war, and removed all of the show's content and social media presence after this episode aired. Trey Parker offered a mock apology to China and asserted this rash censorship just proves the points he made on South Park.
- The show was never actually licensed to be streamed in China to begin with, it just wasn't officially banned. So while banning it does prevent people in the region from watching it, it doesn't have any financial impact on anyone involved.
- And then Zedd was banned from going into China permanently as a result of this episode.
- Colbert Bump: The songs "Useless Sacrifice" by Death Decline and "Second Skin" by Dying Fetus have gotten attention thanks to Crimson Dawn "performing" them.
