- Executive Veto: Ken Penders claims that he was originally planning to make Sally's death stick, but Sega intervened and mandated Archie to undo her death.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Unlike other parts, the original issue #50 and its story The Big Goodbye was never physically reprinted in any collections, instead it was always substituted for For Whom the Bell Tolls! due to its additional content. The only time it was ever re-released was on the Archie Sonic app which is now defunct, and even then, it erroneously cut off a few pages before the end.
- Magnum Opus Dissonance: Ken Penders holds up EndGame as being one of his best works and the single most important story arc in the comic. Fans generally hate it for its contrivances and introducing many of the cliches associated with his run.
- What Could Have Been:
- Sally was meant to be Killed Off for Real.
- Issue 47 had a different cover showing Sonic in the court room
. - Issue #50 was meant to be a double-length special, but Archie vetoed the idea at the last second, forcing several important scenes to be cut. Director's Cut would eventually include the removed material.
