Trivia / Seiyu's Life!

Go To

  • Acting for Two: Futaba and Korori have the same voice actress (Rie Takahashi) because Korori is just Futaba's stuffed doll that she uses to act as the other side of a conversation when she's by herself.
  • The Cameo: Aside from the guest voice actors this anime has per episode, Yui Horie gave a special mention to Aice⁵, her real-life idol group which included Madoka Kimura, Akemi Kanda (both of which are her fellow Negima! Magister Negi Magi alumni) Chiaki Takahashi, and Sore ga Seiyuu's creator Masumi Asano. Their costumes were based on their looks for their tenth anniversary (and reunion) single, Be with you, which was released on September 30, 2015.
  • Defictionalization: Earphones, which is the idol group formed with the three main characters, has continued in the real world (with the three voice actresses from the anime) to release music and tour as a group.
  • Meta Casting: Futaba, Ichigo, and Rin were all voiced by relatively new voice actresses since the characters are also rather new to the industry (well, Futaba and Ichigo are).
    • There's also an in-universe example. Rin was cast as Mina in Weekend Patissier because the director wanted someone who could naturally play a normal 15 year old girl. Unfortunately, Rin has been acting almost her entire life and doesn't have much experience with being normal.
  • I Want You to Meet an Old Friend of Mine: Along with the rest of Aice⁵ (a real life idol unit Masumi Asano is in), Yui Horie got her own episode to cameo (and it's a pretty big role compared to the rest of the cameos).
  • No Dub for You: The anime version's streamed/released overseas with subtitles only.
  • No Export for You:
    • The manga's only available in Japanese.
    • The Blu-Ray version is not sold outside Japan.
  • Write Who You Know: Earphones appears to be partially based on Masumi Asono's experience Aice⁵ due to both groups being an idol group composed of three voice actresses.
