Trivia / Rune

• Author Appeal: The concept of Rune came from Human Head co-founder Ted Halsted's fascination with Norse mythology.
• Creator Killer: Rune II wound up being the last game that Human Head Studios developed as an independent company, since they shut their doors almost immediately after releasing the game. Downplayed since the team is still around, they were simply relocated to the ZeniMax Media subsidiary Roundhouse Studios.
• Inspiration for the Work: Much of the game's story and setting was inspired by Norse mythology, particularly the Volsunga Saga.
• Working Title: The sequel to Rune was originally called Rune: Ragnarok, and then simply Rune before Human Head settled on Rune II.
