  • "The Seven Voyages of Cynthia" was going to be paired with "Down the Drain". Nickelodeon vetoed this because both storylines involved Cynthia going into a sewer system. "Down the Drain" was instead paired with "Let Them Eat Cake".
  • In "My Friend Barney", Chas references Chuckie's mother without her fate being too certain. When this episode was being written, one of the creators toyed with the idea of Chas being a divorcé instead of a widower. However, the original writing team was unable to utilize either divorce or the death of a parent because Nickelodeon at the time felt that both topics were too mature for a show with such a young demographic.
