• Actor Allusion: Ralph's friendship with the allycats is a reunion of the Samurai Pizza Cats. Ralph is voiced by Rick Jones (Speedy), Fleabag and Bones are voiced by Terrence Scamell (Guido) and Lulu is voiced by Sonja Ball (Polly)
• Channel Hop: The books have changed publishers several times. The first eight were published by Houghton Mifflin, the next five were published by Harper Collins, the next four were published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux, the next book was published by Houghton Mifflin again and the last two books were published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux once more.
