• Cast the Runner-Up: Eddie Bagayawa, who played Captain Kadri, originally auditioned for the role of Jim Green but lost out to Dan Tetsell. He was offered the part of Kadri, which was significantly expanded during rewrites, as a consolation.
• Edited for Syndication: A 2017 repeat airing cut the two shots of skeleton blowjobs; the first was replaced with a longer panning shot of the skeletons on the floor and the second was cut to show Kryten talking for longer, then only the close-up of the skeleton receiving the blowjob.
• Troubled Production: A comparatively minor example in the show's history, but during the studio recording a fire alarm went off and the entire cast, crew, and audience had to be temporarily evacuated, meaning they didn't finish until close to midnight.
