Trivia / Project.R

Go To

  • Creator's Oddball: While the group was created to make the music for Super Sentai, that is not the only show that they have worked on. They are also credited on the Darker and Edgier Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider Amazons. Yes, "Armour Zone" and "DIE SET DOWN" were written by Mike Sugiyama (one of the group's lyricists) and composed by NoB.
  • Descended Creator: Composer, and credited founder of Project.R, Kenichirou Oishi occasionally lends his voice to songs. He is most prominently featured on the Engine Raps and "Super Sentai Hero Getter".

  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: While the yearly "Live & Show" concerts are easy enough to find in Japan, good luck finding "Super Sentai Spirits" as Columbia hasn't released any on DVD since the second one in 2006.
  • Loads and Loads of Writers: The group has just as many behind the scenes members as they do singers. Especially once you consider that quite a few of the singers pull double duty and also write and/or compose either for themselves or other members.
  • The Other Darrin: In "Super Sentai Hero Getter" each season's line is sung by the member who originally sung that theme song... except the first season with a theme song sung by a Project.R member is Hurricaneger. Meaning Gorenger to Gaoranger, plus Abaranger, is technically this trope.
    • "Super Sentai Hero Getter 2016" has IMAJO and Kenichirou Oishi no longer providing vocals, with their lines mostly being taken over by Showgo Kamada and Yohei Onishi, but also some random changes as well. Takayoshi Tanimoto also sings the ToQGer line on the studio version due to Daiki Ise not being an official member.note
