• Crossdressing Voices: Mitsuki Saiga voices Wholesome Crossdresser Kuranosuke making this a case of Recursive Crosscasting.
• Late Export for You: The manga began in 2008, but it wouldn't be licensed in English until 2016. This wasn't the case for the anime, as Funimation got its license and simulcasted the series the year it aired.
• Playing Against Type: Jun'ichi Suwabe, who has a long list of Large Ham/Smug Snake characters under his belt, plays the quiet, serious, 30-year-old virgin Shu.
• Series Hiatus: Twice. The manga first went on hiatus in December 2014 and returned in July 2015. And just as sources announced that the final chapter was approaching, the manga took another hiatus from January 2016 to June 2017 as the author was focusing on her other work, Tokyo Tarareba Girls, which ended in April 2017.
• Write Who You Know: Tsukimi is almost exactly how the author was as a young girl, jellyfish obsession and all, but aged up for extra pathos.
