  • Maurice LaMarche for Popeye and Poopdeck Pappy.
  • Marilyn Schreffler for Olive Oyl and Lizzie.
• Colbert Bump: The show got a minor boost in notoriety after the Annotators riffed it, partially because it received some of their harshest riffing in years.
• Executive Meddling: The reason why much of the fighting associated with the original Popeye cartoons was not present.
• The Other Darrin:
  • Since Jack Mercer had died a few years earlier, the voice of Popeye is none other than Maurice LaMarche (who appeared on an episode of the short-lived game show Wordplay as a way to promote it).
  • While Mae Questel was alive at the time, she doesn't appear as Olive Oyl here. Instead, she's voiced by Marilyn Schreffler.
