Trivia / Pokémon Reborn

• Creator's Pest: Ame. Amethyst found it pretty embarrassing to have a cool Author Avatar in the game and tried to keep Ame a background character. It's part of the reason she was eventually killed off.
• Word of God: Amethyst revealed the full names of the majority of the Reborn characters in this post. The only ones who seem to lack a surname are Anna, Noel, and Lin. Due to the lack on a known surname for Anna and Noel it has lead to more speculation that Radomus is their father on that same post. Solaris doesn't have a full name shown but it can be assumed that he at least shares the same surname as Taka.
  • Anna and Noel (full names Fantasia and Painter Vanhanen) are indeed now known to be Radomus's children, while Lin's full name is Lindsey Paraeah.
• Write Who You Know: Reborn was based on an online roleplaying Pokémon league group, and when writing for the game, Amethyst based many of the characters directly on members of the league, not merely just naming them after people in the group but also in shaping their personalities (though with some creative license here and there). This also contributed to a lot of the darker material seen earlier in the game, as events like Corey's suicide, Kiki's death, and the messed up dynamic between Titania and Amaria are based on real events with the people involved. Amethyst stated that since the goal of the game was always to create a story based on the league, she felt it would be disrespectful to their memory to not include these events in some way.
  • Based on a Great Big Lie: ...except, as of E19's secret dev room, Amethyst reveals that all of it is untrue. All of the characters, along with their lives and the tragedies that happened to them, were all invented by her "for the enjoyment of everyone involved". When asked why she continued on with this instead of clarifying it in interviews and promo posts earlier, she said that it was the sunken [sic] cost fallacy.
