  • Bad Export for You: As of January 2017, this is currently the only Pokémon movie not to be available on DVD in its original aspect ratio, at least in the United States. It is available on iTunes and Amazon in HD though.
  • End of an Era: This is the last Pokémon movie to be dubbed by 4Kids Entertainment, and consequently the last piece of the Pokémon anime featuring the original English voice cast, such as Veronica Taylor as Ash and May, Eric Stuart as Brock and James, Rachael Lillis as Jessie, and the late Maddie Blaustein as Meowth.

  • Missing Trailer Scene: One of the trailers involved scenes such as Kid apparently attempting to drive her jeep through the hot springs, Lucario going into some kind of alternate dimension, and a scene in a rocky area with Ash and Lucario. Ash is kneeling with a scared look on his face while reaching towards Lucario, who is lying on the ground, apparently dead from unknown causes.
  • No Export for You: This movie has yet to be released in ex. The United Kingdom on DVD.
