• Acting for Two: Season 3 has cutscenes where Quna and Seraphy are both in the same room and have a conversation with each other. Both characters are voiced by Eri Kitamura.
• Development Gag: For the Fan Translation; Shiva [Christmas]'s Ability name is rendered as "Kaleidoreindeer" in the patch, a cheeky reference to the proposed name of "Kaleidomechs" for Shiva's minions before it got finalized as "Luminmechs".
• Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": Seraphy first appeared outside of Japan as a character in the localized version of IDOLA: Phantasy Star Saga before her game was ever released. Ditto for Gene, although thanks to Dub Name Change it got rendered as "Jeanne".
• No Export for You: While Phantasy Star Online 2 ultimately did get its localization, es shows no signs of getting similar treatment.
• What Could Have Been: The game was originally conceptualized as a modified port of the PC game with cross-play. This proved to be unfeasible at the time, which resulted in the game being reworked into its current form.
• Word of God: While the game currently lacks any form of cross-compatibility with Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis besides ARKS Cash functions, the game's director has expressed interest in a potential "New Genesis" version of PSO2es.
