• The Cast Showoff: Not only he did suffer this fame in Kayfabe, in fact he was a tremendous scientific performer with solid credentials under his arm, for his mentors were none others than Bob Backlund, Jack Brisco and Hiro Matsuda, and it showed.
• The Character Ice Cream Bar/Old Shame: TWICE as a matter of fact, back in the 80's WWF, there was a popsicle "flavoured" after him. And in Herb Abrams promotion there were cookies.
• Fountain of Expies: From Lex Luger to Damien Sandow and in-betweens. His only possible Superior Successor was undoubtedly Rick Rude.
• Leslie Nielsen Syndrome: From a solid Grapplin' Powerhouse in NWA, passing true the arrogant, backstabbin' muscle buff in WWF to a completely Narm fuel in WCW.
• Typecasting: Once the "Mr. Wonderful" gimmick kicked in the audience minds, it was impossible for Paul to play a different one in the business. It was one of (The other being his multiple arm injuries) the reasons he winded-up as instructor in WCW's "Power Plant."
