• Blooper: In the scene where Brittany's parents go to the party to find Brittany, Ashley tells them "I just saw Ashley not too long ago, but she left with two boys and a girl." Um, you are Ashley. It's amazing that nobody caught that and it ended up in the final cut, unless you want to call it Fridge Brilliance and say that Ashley is so drunk and/or high she mixed herself up with Brittany.
• Corpsing: It looks like Brian Krause is struggling to hold in laughter when Krista Allen takes Jackie's drunkenness up to eleven in the scene where Brittany's parents confront her.
  Jackie: No, I did not. I did not buy all the alcohol. I bought some of it, though! Whaaaaat?!?!
• Dawson Casting: Elise Luthman and Amber Frank were both 19 when they played 15-year-olds Brittany and Ashley.
• Playing Against Type: Since her future Lifetime movie appearances have tended to cast her as a gullible, lovestruck Ditz who falls for a deceptive, dangerous man (I Almost Married a Serial Killer, The Wrong Stepfather, The Wrong Mr. Right), Krista Allen playing an Alcoholic Sociopath villain comes across as this.
• Real-Life Relative:
  • Dillon, the doomed Drunk Driver, is played by Jake Moritt, the son of Krista Allen (Jackie).
  • As is typical for a Michael Feifer-directed Lifetime movie, his wife Caia Coley appears (playing Jackie's friend Donna).
• Working Title: Nightmare Moms
• Writing by the Seat of Your Pants: Much of the dialogue in this movie seems improvised. Krista Allen in particular seems like she's doing a lot of ad-libbing as Jackie.
