  • Real Life Writes the Plot: The fire extinguisher seen on the album cover and alluded to in the song "Camarillo Brillo" referred to an incident involving Zappa's road manager Marty Perellis during the 1973 Australian tour, as told by Michael Gray on page 154 of his book "Mother!":
    Afterwards, back in his hotel room, one reporter noted the sounds of Zappa practicing guitar inside his room, while roadie named Marty got locked out in the nude with a backfiring fire extinguisher, and a lot of groupies found a lot of action.
