• What Could Have Been:
  • The Gambitverse was originally supposed to be a "mirrorverse" of Obi-Wan and thus was called "Queen's Guard". But once the author realized it was actually about Padme, the title got changed to "Queen's Gambit" (and sometimes forgot whether it was supposed to be called "Queen's Gambit" or "Queen's Gamble".).
  • "Queen's Gambit" is actually the first book in the Gambitverse, and would've been followed by "Dark Bishop" and . However, the author has no intention on writing the continuations in the near-future due to being occupied with Backbone and wanting to move on to the next Ouroboros universe, the Watchtower universe.
  • Earlier on, Watchtower was supposed to be set only a few years after Revenge of the Sith, but later versions kept moving it further down the timeline. The author is positive now that it will be fifteen years after — concurrent with Season 1 of Rebels.
