  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Hasn't been seen since it ended— most of HBO's 80s originals, including this show, are AWOL from the otherwise comprehensive HBO Go and HBO Now streaming services due to rights issues (as HBO didn't actually produce most of their projects themselves back then).
  • Real Song Theme Tune: "Motherless Children" by Eric Clapton was used in the opener from 1982 to 1985; replaced by "Hooray For The City" by Jack Mack & The Heart Attack from 1985 to 1987.

  • Technology Marches On: Being a show from the 80's it is expected that the technology shown here is outdated. One first season skit shows a couple watching the TV in his living room, arguing about watching a Soap Opera or an weightlifting competition, and are fighting for the gigantic note , corded remote control.
