  • Casting Gag: Nikki Simmons is possibly most well known for singing several songs in Cytus II associated with the story's in-universe Idol Singer, PAFF, who performs mostly in virtual space. In this game, she not only sings the Image Song for a Virtual Celebrity but also voices her.
  • The Danza: Joey shares his first name with his voice actor.
  • International Co Production: Between the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Malaysia. The game is also voice acted in multiple languages.
  • Multiple Languages, Same Voice Actor:
    • Joey Bizinger voices his cameo character in both English and Japanese.
    • Maxime "Sora" Cohen voices Amal the Unicorn in the language tracks for English, French, and Japanese.
  • Production Posse: Andy Tunstall, Falk Au Yeong, James Landino, and Funk Fiction are the game's main composers. All four of them previously worked on Spark the Electric Jester and its sequel, two Sonic the Hedgehog fan games and contributed tracks to Cytus IInote .
  • Spoiled by the Merchandise: One of the soundtrack songs, "Vs. Tatiana", was accidentally released a month prior to the launch of the game before being taken down from official music sites; the song not only revealed Tatiana is a boss in the game, but the song has a rock motif, which gave credence to the ultimately confirmed theory that Tatiana was Kul Fyra.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • In the final phase of 1010's fight, the robot factory was originally meant to follow Neon J's dance moves in a way similar to Mo-cap, but was cut out due to technical limitations. It was finally added to a post-release patch of the Encore Edition.
    • The earliest concepts of Sayu had legs and a rabbit motif instead of being a mermaid. Shades of this concept still lingers in her verbal tic "pyun", which is Japanese onomatopoeia for a rabbit's hopping.
    • Some very early concept art of DJ Subatomic Supernova portrayed him with a more human-like head; his name was also originally going to be "DJ Galaxy". The final design was also originally going to have pants and boots.
    • Originally, all five members of 1010 looked identical; this concept made it all the way to the "Welcome to Vinyl City" trailer before the character designs were eventually finalized to have each member appear more distinct.
  • Word of Gay: Creative director Daim Dziauddin confirmed on Twitch that Eve is demisexual.
