Trivia / Namu Amida Butsu! -UTENA-

Go To

  • Amateur Cast: Though the cast has some big names like Tetsuya Kakihara and Daisuke Hirakawa playing high-rarity Buddhas, most of it is new actors having too few roles at the time of the game to warrant their own creator pages.
  • Anime First: Zigzagged in the case of this game; the defunct 2016 game unarguably came first, but -UTENA-'s anime started airing shortly before the actual -UTENA- game was even playable.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Ashuku marks Yūsuke Kobayashi's first time voicing a woman.
  • Dummied Out: Supposedly, King Konjikikujaku was going to have a special skill with a special dialogue, the voice files for which can still be found in the game, but none of this is present in the final playable product, aside from one mention of it in his Mandala Board story.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Around the time of the announcement of -UTENA-'s closure, efforts were made by the fandom to archive and upload as much gameplay footage and files as possible. There were even calls to archive files of the first game for public viewing.
  • Missing Episode: The reason the 2016 Namu Amida Butsu! doesn't get its own trope page and anything tropable about it will be listed on the same one for the -UTENA- remake. Thanks to its obscurity, it has very few screenshots and even less gameplay footage online, and whatever videos there are doesn't cover its entirety or even its main parts. While the original game's PR site can be viewed via the Internet Archive, even that won't solve the problem of the actual game's being unplayable, making information about it too scarce to trope.
  • No Export for You: Both games were hosted only on Japanese sites.
  • Uncredited Role: Shun Horie as Paomi.
