• Ascended Fanon:
  • After years of being shipped with each other in a long-standing fanon pairing, Lyra Heartstrings and Sweetie Drops/Bon Bon make it canon with a Meaningful Background Event of the two of them proposing to each other◊ in this episode.
  • Following "A Canterlot Wedding", which showed the wedding rings placed on Cadence's and Shining Armor's horns, fans wondered what was done for rings if neither pony had a horn, or only one did. One theory was that hornless ponies wore them as necklaces. While we don't see the wedding rings, Big Mac's engagement ring for Sugar Belle is indeed a necklace.
• Content Leak: The Dutch version of this episode was released in mid-August accidentally by a Netherlands station (along with the remaining episodes of the season), which was quickly taken down. The English dub was eventually leaked on September 4 and officially aired on October 5.
• Short Run in Peru: The rest of this season, including this episode, aired early in Ukraine on September 22, 2019 on PLUSPLUS. The episode was also released on the same day to nc+ GO's on demand service in Poland.
• Throw It In!: Lyra proposing to Bon Bon wasn't in the script, but added by staff.
