• Jossed: There was a very popular fan-theory that Applejack's hat is a keepsake from her departed parents, and full of sentimental value for her. And another, slightly less popular, theory that Apple Bloom's bow is a similarly valuable keepsake. This episode shot a big hole in both those theories, with the shot of a closet full of identical hats and bows. Amusingly enough, next season's "Made in Manehattan" would demonstrate even more conclusively that Applejack's hat really is just a hat, nothing more... until "The Perfect Pear" came around and showed that her father in fact had an identical hat, putting the theory into Shrug of God territory.
