  • Corpsing: invoked
    • In "Top 5 WORST Anime of 2021", Geoff loses focus and goes completely off-script when stumbling over a certain line:
Geoff: In the very next episode, the absolute terrorist blows herself up by standing— Heh, it said "blows herself" in the script. I-I just read... (chuckles) "In the very next episode, the absolute terrorist blows herself"... (breaks down laughing) I just-I just wrote "blows herself". I forgot the "up"! (snickers) I don't know why this is so funny. (laughs) Fuck! I'm a child! A manchild!
    • In the Spice and Wolf Adapt or Die episode, just as he's finishing up his ad spot for Bookwalker and an attached competition to win a quite large hardbound collector's edition of the light novel, he says that even if you don't win, the ebooks do have advantages...but since this involves showing off the version on his phone, he's now holding the Door Stopper book with one hand, and loses his grip in seconds.
Geoff: (choking back a laugh) ...Portability being a big one.
  • Creator Backlash:
    • After gaining his popularity through mockery of Sword Art Online, its creator Reki Kawahara, and its fanbase, Geoff's video on Alicization has him start off with making it clear that he will no longer attack the latter two and expresses regret for ever doing so.
    • In the years following his videos on Anime Piracy, Geoff admitted he made a mistake in how hostile he was in regards to the topic, especially towards other content creators that disagreed with him. He still doesn't agree with it, but he admitted to being too hostile, and apologized to those he targeted. Later on, in March 2021, he regretted taking an absolute stand against any form of piracy, feeling that cases of Keep Circulating the Tapes were enough of a justification:
Geoff: No for-profit solution will ever be as effective at preserving legacy media as enthusiast communities making copies and sharing them around.
    • In his video comparing the hit tv show Squid Game to Kaiji, he starts off recording about his previous video about the manga, in which he negatively compared Kakegurui to it. He admits the video was very unfair because Kakegurui in no way actually tries to emulate or follow in Kaiji 's footsteps, and is much closer to Yu-Gi-Oh!, and when compared to that anime, Kakegurui's appeal becomes more clear.
  • Follow the Leader: At least two of which Geoff confessed are Game Theory and I Hate Everything. You can see it in his video formatting.
  • Promoted Fanboy: He eventually became a writer for Game Theory, which was a major inspiration for his channel.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: In a very Scientology-esque move, Happy Science issued a copyright strike against Geoff's first video covering their various anime movies. The second video was not struck, but in response was taken down to be safe. Both videos have since been restored.
