  • Creator Backlash: While they never outright stated that they hated it, none of the band members have spoken kindly of "The Nile Song" in the years since its release. Among other things, Roger Waters ribbed at an audience member who requested the track in concert by playing the opening chord and nothing else, later using it as the basis for the Arena Rock parody "Young Lust", and when Guy Pratt suggested playing it on the supporting tour for David Gilmour's solo album On an Island, Gilmour reportedly shot back, "I think you should join a different band." Pratt would eventually succeed in putting it on the set list for Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets.
  • Creator's Oddball: "Up the Khyber" is the only Pink Floyd song credited solely to Mason and Wright.
