Trivia / Montgomery Gentry

Go To

  • Chart Displacement: "Gone" was the biggest hit for any country duo in 2005 and is one of their most famous songs overall, but it only got to #3. Other big songs like "My Town" (#5), "Speed" (#5), "Hell Yeah" (#4), and "Where I Come From" (#8) didn't do quite as well on the charts, and all are far better known than the #1 "Roll with Me".
  • Died During Production: They were actively recording when Troy Gentry died in a helicopter accident.
  • Missing Episode: Double example. Columbia was intending to release an album titled Freedom in 2010. But when lead single "Oughta Be More Songs About That" bombed, they changed tactics and announced a new EP, Hits and More: Life Beside a Gravel Road with "While You're Still Young" as the lead single. That single bombed too, so Montgomery Gentry exited the label instead.
