• The Dreaded: Actors are supersitious regardless of origins, and like English-speaking thespians forbid themselves to name the Scottish Play, French-speaking thespians forbid themselves to wear green, especially onstage, because Molière died wearing Argan's green costume. Some argue that the green arsenic dye is what got to him, although he famously died of a pneumonia.
• Fatal Method Acting: There is a popular misconception about his life, which states that he died on a theater scene while playing the main role of The Imaginary Invalid. He actually collapsed on stage, then died at home a few hours later.
