Trivia / Minoriteam

Go To

  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The only way you're finding this one is through the one Region 4 DVD release it got in 2012, in a collection known as the "Adult Swim Grab Bag".
  • Creator Backlash: Adult Swim is not proud of this series, and rarely mentions its existence. It's amazing that Adam de la Pena was able to shake it off and create Code Monkeys.
One time we greenlit 20 episodes based solely on a pitchboard, showing character designs for a superhero group whose power were their racial stereotype. It was the first time we skipped a pilot and went straight to series. Oops.
  • Denial of Digital Distribution: In June 2020, Adult Swim pulled the series from their website in the wake of George Floyd's murder and the ensuing "Black Lives Matter" protests against racism and police brutality. Now keep in mind that Adult Swim has always kept every single one of their original series on their website before Warner Bros. Discovery began removing content for tax write-offs in 2022 and 2023. Even the equally reviled Assy Mcgee is still available on the site. The equally if not more infamous Million Dollar Extreme Presents: World Peace was also removed from the website.
  • What Could Have Been: A female character names Jane Plain "The Invisible Girl" was in the pitch but not the series. Considering much of Minoriteam is openly sexist, it’s probably for the best.
