Trivia / Mega Man X DiVE

  • Ascended Fanon:
    • For some reason, fans loved to make fan art of the "Ultimate Reploid" Colonel and Iris were meant to be. Iris -another- is pretty much an in-universe What Could Have Been in which the plan for the Ultimate Reploid would have succeeded, but she always was there in the fanbase.
    • Swimsuit Ciel bears an awful resemblance to her appearance in the Rockman Ciel fan game.
  • Content Leak: There was a trailer that accidentally leaked boss art of Incentas, but he never actually made it into the game. His full artwork can be seen in the game's official art book.
  • Late Export for You: The game went for a long period without an official U.S./North American release, although the game can be downloaded through the links given on social media. This would be subverted on June 28, 2021 with an English Early Access version being released on the Google Play Store.
  • The Other Darrin:
  • Schedule Slip:
    • The use of the White Day event in 2020 was primarily due to the game being delayed from release thanks to the COVID-19 Pandemic. In fact, it was originally intended to be the Valentine's Day event for 2020.
    • Many of the playable characters reuse voice clips from previous games, but there are few playable characters that ended up becoming The Voiceless by having their voicelines delayed due to COVID-19 Pandemic-induced recording difficulties:
      • Iris was implemented as a playable character on June 11, 2020 and had to be recast due to the fact that the game started development long after her original voice actress Yuko Mizutani passed away in 2016. This was patched in on July 9 of the same year, when Iris was given a new voice courtesy of Aya Endo.
      • Ciel initially did not have any voicelines upon being implemented as a playable character (August 26, 2020), on account of her voice actress Rie Tanaka having a schedule conflict via recording new lines for Kiara Sessyoin in Fate/Grand Order. This was rectified as of July 2022, with that year's summer event.
      • Bass.EXE was likewise left without voicelines when implemented as a playable character on December 2, 2020, despite the fact that his voice actress from the anime, Keiko Nemoto, also voiced him in Network Transmission.
      • Bit, who was implemented as a playable character on December 23, 2020, is another case of a character having their voicelines delayed. Unlike Ciel and Bass.EXE, he had no voice actor in any prior appearances before the game started development.
      • Bass was announced for a rerun of the Classic event, but he is not voiced much like his NetNavi counterpart, despite being voiced by Koji Tobe in the arcade games and Nobuyuki Hiyama in Mega Man 8, Mega Man: Battle & Chase, and Super Robot Wars X-Ω. This was finally rectified in the June 8th update, which finally gave both Bass and Bass.EXE proper voice lines.
      • Roll.EXE (and Mayl), Harp Note and Rogue and X -kai- all lack voice lines, despite also having existing voice actors, as of the transition to the offline version.note
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Some minor unused content was found Dummied Out in the online game's files, such as a model for a Ride Chaser.
    • DiVE Offline intentionally revealed some cut bosses in the credits, including Violen and Eregion.
    • An interview revealed that the team wanted to add Prometheus as a Hunter Program, but they ran out of time.
    • The official artbook unveiled more planned characters who never made it in, including members of the Rockman Xover cast (namely OVER-1, Nero L, and Oro S) and a unique "DiVE Armor Sigma" boss. It also confirmed that Incentas was indeed planned for the game.
