- Real Song Theme Tune: Most notably, House uses an instrumental cut of "Teardrop" as its theme. In addition, the band's songs are commonly used in media, even though not necessarily for theme tunes.
- Troubled Production: Elizabeth Fraser was in the middle of recording "Teardrop" when she found out her former lover Jeff Buckley had drowned while swimming in the Mississippi River. She has said that the song was written with him in mind, and she was holding their love letters to put her in the mindset.
- What Could Have Been:
- Madonna was originally planned to sing "Teardrop" on Mezzanine, but it was eventually decided that Elizabeth Fraser would be the better choice due to her ethereal vocals.
- Originally the band intended to do a cover of "Straight to Hell" by The Clash sung by Horace Andy. However due to the song clashing with Horace's religious beliefs they had to improvise a song in a span of four hours in order to accommodate Horace. That song would be later become "Angel", the opening track of Mezzanine.
