Trivia / Mars Argo

Go To

  • Creator Breakdown: The breakup between Sinclair and Sheets not only ended the Mars Argo project, but the complicated fallout surrounding the ordeal effectively put Sheets out of commission until she announced her return to music four years later.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes:
    • ALL of the videos of Computer Show were deleted from the grocerybagdottv channel (it's still unknown whether they were removed by Sinclair himself or he forced Sheets to delete them) with the exception of two music videos and the famous "Delete Your Facebook" video. As a result, fans have reuploaded most if not all of the videos on multiple channels.
    • The same could be said with the music. While the project does have a Bandcamp, there's a wide range of music still missing, and fans have compiled them as a result to keep the project's memory alive.
    • No one seems to have the original edit of "Everybody Wants it All", which cuts off suddenly after Argo says the titular line. The version that repeats it for some time to get to 3:36 is believed to have been made after said number became relevant to Poppy's mythos.
  • Streisand Effect: What led to the revival of the Mars Argo fanbase: Sinclair allegedly attempted to delete whatever trace he could of Mars Argo and even attempted to delete comments referring to the project on Poppy's and his own channel. This only led to fans looking more into Mars Argo, and even started the "Cult of Mars Argo".
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The cancelled 2012 album and 2014 album; only snippets and song names are known.
    • Mars' first attempt at a solo album was cancelled after Titanic Sinclair somehow found out it was going to be called Guppy Sounds and released a song called "Guppy" about her.
