- Keep Circulating the Tapes: "Hank" was withdrawn due to negative reception, and thus never put on an album.
- Life Imitates Art: In a 1998 interview with American Country Countdown, Wills said that he actually passed by a homeless man on a street corner when listening to the demo of "Don't Laugh at Me" in his car.
- Network to the Rescue: Wills was on Clint Black's Equity label when it closed, and was partway into making his album Familiar Stranger.
- Too Soon: Downplayed with "19 Somethin'", which references the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger disaster; a few stations momentarily pulled the song after the similar Columbia disaster in February 2003, but the impact was so negligible that the song didn't even fall from #1.
