  • Acting for Two:
    • In both Japanese and English dubs, Clara shares her VAs (Ayaka Asai and Kayli Mills) with her mother and all of her younger siblings, resulting in those VAs spending several scenes holding conversations with only themselves. The Japanese dub also has Ayaka Asai voice Momonoki, which makes the preview for Season 2 Episode 8 even funnier.
    • For the Japanese dub:
      • Takuto Yoshinaga voices Robin Balse and Picero Agares.
      • Nozomi Yamamoto voices Smoke Astaroth, Azuki, Raim, and Violet Asmodeus.
      • Taku Yashiro voices Baraki Bathin, Kakeru Aozora, and Quichelight Kimaris.
      • Gakuto Kajiwara voices Kamui Caim and Orias Oswell.
      • Mark Ishii voices Dali Dantalion and Gusion Sunny Grave.
      • Asami Haruna voices Eiko and Silvia Sabnock.
      • Genki Okawa voices Goemon, Iruma's father, and FalFal.
      • Yuka Maihara voices Iruma's mother, Konatsu, and Kerori's mother.
      • Hiroshi Nakamura voices Blushenko Buer and March Marbas.
      • Ayako Mitani voices Haruno and Lily Asmodeus.
    • For the English Dub:
      • Brian Anderson voices Picero Agares and Opera.
      • Kira Buckland voices Ameri Azazel, Gaako, and Haruno.
      • Tommy Arciniega voices Goemon Garp and Quichelight Kimaris.
      • Mick Lauer voices Iruma's father, Johnny Western Zagan, and Blushenko Buer.
      • Yong Yea voices March Marbas and Schnare Eligos.
      • Landon McDonald voices Schneider Allocer, Baraki Bathin, and Kakeru Aozora.
      • Xanthe Huynh voices Keroli Crocell, Silvia Sabnock, and Rin Hoshino.
      • Sarah Anne Williams voices Suzy Stolas and Dosanko.
  • Adaptation First: Despite the anime adaptation having an English dub, it took until 3 years after it's premiere for the original manga to get an official English release.
  • Crossdressing Voices: In the English dub, Iruma is voiced by Laura Stahl.
  • He Also Did: Yoshitaka Yamaya (Lied's VA) and Shun'ichi Toki (Allocer's VA) are both part of a music group called &6allein.
  • Late Export for You:
    • The Manga started its run in March 2017, with the Anime starting airing in Fall 2019. The Anime was simulcast and quickly dubbed by Crunchyroll in North America, but the Manga won't see an official English release until Spring 2023, likely after the third season of the anime finishes airing.
    • A minor example, but Latin America had to wait until January 2023 to have local dubs to Spanish and Portuguese.
  • The Other Darrin: With Billy Kametz passing of Stage 4 Colon Cancer and the confirmation of a third season, Asmodeus was replaced by Stephen Fu in the English Dub.
  • Playing Against Type:
  • Portmanteau Series Nickname: Mairuma. Notably this is used in the manga's Twitter.
  • Promoted Fanboy: Osamu Nishi seems to be a fan of the Japanese Let's Play group We are the Main Characters of ◯◯!. She eventually works with one of the group's members to create We are the Main Characters of the Demon World!.
  • Prop Recycling: A musical variant. The Valac family songs are pretty much the same set of music, though changed for tempo at times, used each time they start to sing for that season. There is a difference between the season 1 song and season 2.
  • Real-Life Relative: In the Latin American Spanish dub, Clara Valac and her mother are voiced by Azucena Estrada and Alexandra Vicencio, who are also daughter and mother respectively in real life.
  • Schedule Slip: Season 2 Episode 20 was intended to air on August 28th, 2021, but due to broadcast of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games happening around that date, the episode had to be pushed a week later on September 4th instead.
  • Shrug of God: Nishi has consistently been deliberately evasive when it comes to Opera's Ambiguous Gender, as every time somebody asked her what Opera identifies as, she dodged the question without even trying to answer.
  • What Could Have Been: The Character Booklet revealed some interesting facts on previous drafts for the cast.
    • Iruma was originally going to be more assertive and speaks with stronger comments. And later on, his concept-art was going to make him look more listless.
    • One concept-art suggested that Lied and Jazz were originally going to be a single character referred to as "Jazzlied".
    • Asmodeus was supposed to have green hair while Clara was supposed to have pink. In the final version, their hair colors are switched.
    • Ameri was going to carry a sword as a common feature to her design.
    • Opera was originally planned to be a silent background character, effectively Sullivan's house cat but humanoid. They were reworked into being Sullivan's assistant in the story proper though.
